You Can Teach An Old Dog New Tricks
I’m one of those senior citizens who love to learn about and use new technology. Don’t ever tell me you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! I use my Hughes Net internet service every day, and while it took me a little while to get the hang of doing email, surfing the web, and checking the local weather online, now it’s the primary way that I stay connected to the outside world. And since I don’t get out as much as I used to, it literally means the world to me. The high speed internet connection they offer is wonderful! Until about six months ago, dial-up internet was the only internet service offered in the retirement community I’m a part of. To be honest, I didn’t keep in touch as well as I would have liked to with my 4 children and 9 grandchildren, because the dial-up service was so slow. At my age, you don’t have time to wait around!
Now, Hughes Net, I can get online quickly in the morning, send out a bunch of emails, shop online for a few birthday presents for the grandkids, and still get to my early exercise class before I meet friends for lunch. In the afternoon, I log in to see who responded to my emails, check the national news, and snoop in on my granddaughters’ Facebook pages! I’ve never had so much fun! Now my grandson is encouraging me to start Tweeting on Twitter, and I just might do it!
